Malcolm - Happy Ending
Malcolm
We brought Sunny into our home in March and very quickly he established himself as a permanent member of our home. He was a little nervous of having a lead placed on him. We already had a Beagle (Duncan) who is just a few weeks older than sunny. We gave him a new name - Malcolm. Perhaps we were humanising him, but we thought there was a sadness in his eyes. That we had to work on to make him feel that he was with us forever. He had been in a couple of homes before we found him at many tears. We quickly realised that he had a bit of anxiety when we took him out in the car. Perhaps he felt that we were taking him away from us.
But, as I write this, in April - we are happy to say he is totally settled. It has been wonderful to see his confidence grow every day. He plays all day with his new brother, Duncan. They are so devoted to each other, which is such a joy to see. Malcolm has been a calming influence on Duncan, who was a little bit wild! Duncan has helped bring our Malcolm out of his shell. Thanks to Many Tears we now have four in our bed!! It has been the perfect addition to our family.
We cannot thank you enough for introducing us to him. We love him to pieces. We live two miles from Blackpool, quite a distance from you guys and the 9 hour round trip was worth it. His new walking route sees him at the beach and in the sea!
We take him to the countryside where he can be reminded a little bit of the lovely Welsh scenery. But I don’t think he would swap again! Malcolm is the world’s nosiest dog and spends almost as much time on two legs as he does on four. With the front two on kitchen worktops! We should have called him ‘get down from there’.
