18-01-2024 Eddie is a beautiful young lad who has very sadly been returned after a short adoption. Eddie gets on well with all dogs big or small but in his adopters home he started to guide high value treats like bones and treat toys  Here in his foster home high value items are given in separate areas for all my dogs so this is never an issue.  Althougn he loves all dogs, Eddie prefers the company of other labs, he loves his Labrador foster sister and relies on her heavily for guidance following her and copying everything she does. He is still a a scared boy who will cower when he feels scared but he is slowly making improvements and getting more confident day by day.
He would like a quiet home in a rural area without children. Eds sleeps soundly at night and loves his food and toys he is 99% housetrained. One of his favourite hobbies is counter surfing while nobody is watching so whoever applies for him must be very mindful of this. Walking on a lead is work in progress as he is petrified of new things. Eddie is looking for a home with another lab to snuggle up to share a bed with and learn from, he is also looking for somewhere that has a large secure garden where he can do his zoomies. Do you have the ideal home for Eddie?

08-04-2024 UPDATE

Eddie is such a wonderful character his fun happy side is really starting to show now his confidence has grown. Eddie is housetrained, still sleeps well at night and continues to love his food. He likes to play with his female foster sisters and in particular loves playing with his favourite a Labrador that’s the same age as him, together they like to get up to as much mischief as possible which does involve charging round, jumping all over the place and occasional bed destroying. He would be too boisterous to live with an elderly dog or children. Eddie would love to find a home with a female lab who would love to play with let him snuggle up to her at night and let him suck her ear. Can you offer him his dream home?

11-06-24 UPDATE

Eddie is still waiting for his forever home. He’s growing up to be a smashing lad, loves human cuddles and likes to give lots of kisses.  He has great recall in a secure field and loves to run around at top speed, although he is quite clumsy and can never find his brakes, so is best not living with people or dogs that he could easily knock over.
Eddie is completely house trained, travels well in the car and has grown out of his counter surfing ways. He loves his food, treats and snuggling with his foster sisters, he isn’t too keen on male dogs and is not cat or small fury friendly.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
