During the pandemic Many Tears was much quieter than usual and Sylvia used this time to restore a bow top Romany style caravan/wagon that is nearly 100 years old. The front wheels carry the name plates of Collett and Sons, Gloucester who probably built the original wagon and Sylvia believes this was one of their first milk wagons.

Sylvia spent many, many hours painting and renovating the wagon and it is truly beautiful. It was going to be a place to escape to for rest, dreams, inspiration and adventure. However now she has a bigger dream with the dog's needs as her priority... and that is to build a wonderful playground for our dogs that is as exciting as a Disneyland or Thorpe Park of fun for canines - especially for those dogs who arrive here and end up being long stayers.

For the dogs who spend many months and occasionally even years here waiting, this playground is for them in particular but it will be used by all our dogs and Sylvia's vision is to have a large area with different levels for dogs to jump up and down on, tunnels, slides, sand to dig in and water to splash in. There will be a pergola for those wanting to keep out the rain and paths around it so our ponies could be driven by children and exercised there in safety on icy days too.

This is going to be somewhere that gives every dog in our care something to look forward to and help them realise that the humans who take them there can mean that people can equal fun, love, excitement and most of all hope. A place of pure positivity.

Of course this all comes at a huge cost so Sylvia has decided to raffle her beloved caravan in the hope of raising a large amount of the £50,000 this project is going to cost. Tickets will cost £5 each and the raffle will be drawn on 1st March 2023 which is St David's Day. If you win the caravan and don't want it for yourself you could donate or sell it as it is worth several thousand pounds. This caravan would be the perfect addition to a garden or an inspiring centrepiece for a business and is bound to turn heads and be quite the conversation starter with it's intricate hand painted horses and stunning design.
